Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, has led a delegation of the Commission’s management on a condolence visit to the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Traditional Council and Emir of Lafia, His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage I, following the death of his brother, Alhaji Ahmed Bage, Esq. The delegation included the Executive Director, Corporate Services, Mr.

James Abel Uloko; the Executive Director, Commercial and Industrial Development, Hajia Aisha Rufia Ibrahim; and various heads of departments of the Commission. Speaking during the visit, Dr.

Tsenyil said the delegation was at the palace to commiserate with the Emir, the Nasarawa State Traditional Council and the entire family over the death of their beloved brother and father. He said the visit was undertaken on behalf of the NCDC Board and Management, describing the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Bage as a great loss to the family, Nasarawa State and the Commission.

According to him, the deceased was alive during the establishment of the North Central Development Commission and was one of the voices of reason upon whom the Commission could rely for wise counsel and guidance. Dr.

Tsenyil prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah to grant the family and all those he left behind the strength and fortitude to bear the loss. He noted that death was an inevitable part of life and that no one could question the will of the Almighty.

The NCDC Managing Director thereafter presented a formal condolence letter to the Emir on behalf of the Board and Management of the Commission. Responding, the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Traditional Council and Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage I, expressed appreciation to the NCDC delegation for the visit and commended the management for finding time, despite their busy schedules, to condole with the family.

The Emir prayed that Almighty Allah would reward the delegation for the gesture and act of kindness. He also commended Dr.

Tsenyil and his management team for their efforts in repositioning the Commission, noting that they were undertaking a national assignment of great importance and that their actions and decisions would help shape the direction and future of the NCDC. The traditional ruler called on Nigerians to continue praying for the country and its leaders, urging   that Almighty Allah continue   to guide the government and grant it the wisdom and capacity to find lasting solutions to the challenges confronting the nation.

He expressed optimism that with purposeful leadership, collective prayers and commitment, Nigeria would overcome its challenges and achieve sustainable development.
